Lenten Project Raises Money for St. Jude's

Congratulations to our Kindergarten and First and Second Grades for an amazing Lenten project! Our students in Kindergarten through Second Grade raised $2,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital during Lent. At the beginning of Lent, each student took home a cardboard bank to collect loose change in from their families and friends. After Easter vacation when the students returned to school, they brought with them all the change they had collected. The 177 students in the three grades together collected $2,000 or roughly $11.30 per person. Thanks to 1-103 teacher Christine Capalbo for the photo.
